About
Jessica Slack is a contemporary British abstract artist whose work finds inspiration in the simple yet profound beauty of colour and nature. Jessica's artistic journey is a reflection of her fascination with the emotional power that colours can evoke, resulting in expressive paintings designed to bring joy and vibrancy to homes worldwide.
In her own words;
"The ever-changing nature that surrounds us, from the shifting seasons to the contrast between cityscapes and rural landscapes, serves as endless inspiration. My artistic endeavour is driven by a desire to capture the essence of joy, wonder, and freedom, translated through bold colours, rich textures and abstract markings."
Spreading Joy Through Art
Jessica’s artistic mission is clear: To spread joy and positivity across the globe through her art. Her aspiration is to transform everyday lives, inviting people to immerse themselves in the mindful benefits of getting lost in abstract paintings.
Through Jessica's expressive artworks, she encourages viewers to embrace the fleeting moments of calm found when viewing her paintings and welcome a connection to the natural beauty that surrounds us all.
Jessica's Journey
After earning a first-class degree in Printed Textiles and completing an MSc in Colour Science, Jessica's artistic journey began following her participation in the Liverpool Art Fair back in 2019.
Fast forward to today and Jessica is recognised as an emerging British artist, with honours such as the Signature Art Prize and Bethlehem Card Commission. Her artwork has found its way into the pages of The World of Interiors Magazine, and she has had the privilege of creating commissioned pieces that now grace the streets of Liverpool city centre.
Most recently, Jessica was commissioned by Tag Heuer and Porsche to create a unique original piece for the new Tag Heuer boutique in Liverpool.
Behind The Scenes
Jessica's art studio is bathed in natural light, offering a tranquil space where ideas take shape. The walls adorned with vibrant works, paint-splattered walls, flowers and tons of art materials scattered around.
Whenever Jessica is painting, she is almost always listening to music, creating an atmosphere that is a harmonious blend of focus and inspiration where the magic of art comes to life.
