Grateful For My Life

This piece is part of my brand new collection of mini paintings aiming to capture the endless array of emotions I’ve experienced since becoming a mama. I’ve thrown everything but the kitchen sink at these paintings which includes expressive pencil scribbles that reflect the myriad of emotions you feel in the weeks and months after giving birth, playful and surprising colour combinations that capture the utter joy and euphoria you feel in this bubble and an abundance of organic shapes that have naturally been inspired by my daily seaside walks with baby in tow. 

Grateful For My Life captures a feeling i've felt deeply since becoming a mum. I've often had this thought on my daily walks along the coast and I wanted to capture it in a painting that can live on forevermore. This painting features calming blues and pinks alongside vibrant pops of coral, warm lilacs and deep navy.
