Pass the Olives - Day 1
Pass the Olives is a sun-soaked celebration of slow living, inspired by a cute little Greek taverna I stumbled upon in the hilltop village of Marpissa, Paros. Picture whitewashed walls, blue shutters, laughter echoing down quiet lanes and lazy lunches that stretch long into golden hour.
This vibrant abstract captures all the charm and colour of those carefree Mediterranean moments where time slows down, the wine keeps flowing and the olives never run out. Sea blues and earthy olive greens mix with sun-baked terracotta and pops of juicy red, evoking that feeling of warm plates, good company and sunlight on your skin.
It’s also Day 1 of my Looking for Glimmers collection, a 50-day painting challenge inspired by joyful micro-moments submitted by you. Glimmers are those tiny flashes of happiness that stop you in your tracks. This one came from a photo of a sun-drenched table and felt like the perfect place to begin.
Whether it’s hung in a kitchen, hallway or sunny nook, Pass the Olives is a little reminder to savour the small things and soak up every moment.
