Hello art lovers!
I might be a tad late to the party, but I couldn't let July pass by without celebrating all the wonderful things that happened and the beautiful people I've connected with over the past month. It was a month full of creativity, joy, and memorable moments, and I’m so excited to share it all with you!
1. Celebrating Our 3-Month Anniversary at San Carlo
I kicked off the month with a delicious meal at the recently renovated San Carlo in Liverpool to celebrate our 3 month wedding anniversary. The interior was just as stunning as the food; A true feast for the eyes and the taste buds! The restaurant's chic decor and ambient lighting created the perfect setting for a special evening. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend treating yourself to this culinary and design gem.
2. Pre-Radio Iced Coffee in the Sunshine
Before heading to chat all things art with the lovely Lisa Marrey, I enjoyed a refreshing iced coffee in the sunshine. There’s nothing like a good caffeine boost and some rays to get you energised and inspired! Sitting in the sun, sipping my coffee, and gathering my thoughts was the perfect way to prepare for the exciting radio chat ahead.
3. Creating a Lavender Dream
One of the highlights of my month was crafting a commission painting featuring every lavender, lilac, purple, and violet hue under the sun. This piece was a labour of love, and I adored bringing such a dreamy colour palette to life. Each brushstroke was a journey into the world of purples, blending and layering to create a serene, beautiful piece. The satisfaction of seeing the finished artwork, knowing it perfectly captured the client's vision, was incredibly fulfilling.
4. Taylor Swift-Inspired Prints Launched!
Big news! My Taylor Swift-inspired prints launched into the world in July, and some even sold out on the launch night. Thank you to everyone who supported this collection – your enthusiasm means the world to me! Creating these prints was a journey through Taylor's musical eras, and seeing your excitement and appreciation was the cherry on top.
5. Energising Beach Walks
Many refreshing and energising beach walks kept my creative juices flowing. There's something so magical about the ocean that never fails to inspire me. The sound of the waves, the salty breeze, and the endless horizon are the perfect backdrop for reflection and creativity. These walks not only clear my mind but also fill me with ideas and energy for new projects
6. A Busy Studio
The studio has been buzzing with activity! From brainstorming new ideas to completing commissions, it’s been a whirlwind of creativity. The hustle and bustle of a busy art studio is invigorating, with canvases, paints, and brushes all playing their part in the creation process. It's been a joy to see so many projects come to life and to push the boundaries of my creativity throughout July!
7. Special Canvas Wedding Guestbook Commission
One of the most special projects this month was creating a canvas wedding guestbook for a gorgeous couple. It was such a joy to craft a piece that will be part of their special day and memories forever. This unique guestbook allowed guests to leave their marks and best wishes on a beautiful piece of art, creating a cherished keepsake for the couple. The process was deeply personal and fulfilling, knowing that my art would be a part of such a significant moment in their lives.
8. Immersed in Van Gogh’s World
Visiting the Beyond Van Gogh UK exhibition was an absolute highlight! Being fully immersed in one of my favourite artist’s paintings was a dream come true. The exhibition was a mesmerising journey through Van Gogh's masterpieces, with swirling colours and emotive brushstrokes brought to life around me. It was an experience that deepened my appreciation for his work and left me inspired to explore new techniques in my own art.
9. Taylor Swift Trail at the V&A Museum
Of course, I couldn’t miss the Taylor Swift trail at the Victoria and Albert Museum. It did not disappoint! The exhibit was a beautiful tribute to her artistry and influence, and I loved every moment of it. Seeing her costumes, handwritten lyrics, and personal items up close was a fascinating insight into her creative process. It was a celebration of her impact on music and culture, and I left feeling inspired and connected to her artistic journey.
10. Aperol Spritz Galore
To top it all off, there were plenty of Aperol Spritz's enjoyed this month. Nothing like a refreshing drink to celebrate the little and big wins!
Thank you all for being part of this journey with me. Your support and enthusiasm fuel my creativity, and I can’t wait to see what August has in store for us! Stay tuned for more exciting updates and beautiful art.
